PRIVACY POLICY · UPDATED OCTOBER 18, 2026

Your images stay on your Mac.

Seenlio is a local image-search app. This policy explains what the app processes on your computer and what information is used for purchases, activation and updates.

Moving images to Trash

Seenlio moves an image to macOS Trash only when you explicitly use the Move to Trash shortcut (⌘ Delete) on a selected result or preview. This changes the original file’s location; it is not just removal from Seenlio’s index. Seenlio does not permanently delete the file or empty Trash. You can restore it from Trash while it remains there. Files may become permanently unavailable if you or macOS later empty Trash. If moving a file to Trash fails, Seenlio reports the error rather than falling back to permanent deletion.

Your image library

Seenlio reads images only in folders you choose. Text recognition, image embeddings, thumbnails, tags, favourites, collections and the search index are processed and stored locally. Your images, extracted text and embeddings are not uploaded to our servers for recognition or search.

Collections reference your files without moving them. Removing Seenlio’s local index does not delete your original images. You can manage watched folders and remove local library data in Settings.

Models and updates

Installing recognition models downloads files from the configured model hosts. Update checks contact the configured update service. Those providers receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address. An update request may include the app version and operating-system architecture so the correct release can be offered.

License activation

Activation uses your license key and a hashed device identifier to associate the license with one Mac. The app stores a signed activation receipt locally. Deactivation contacts the licensing service to release the activation. License checks do not send your image library or recognized text.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, our planned payment and licensing provider. Dodo collects the checkout information needed to process payment, issue receipts and deliver your license. We do not receive full payment-card details. Dodo’s privacy policy applies to its checkout and customer portal.

Our payment webhook stores event identifiers, event types, resource identifiers and receipt timestamps so delivery retries can be handled reliably. It does not store complete payment payloads, card details or image content.

This website

The product walkthrough uses sample images and does not access your files. The site can save your display theme and pricing-region preference in local browser storage. No advertising pixels or marketing analytics are included. Fonts may be fetched from Google Fonts, and hosting providers may process connection and security logs.

Retention and your choices

The local library remains on your Mac until you remove it. Purchase and license records may need to be retained for access, accounting, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Final operational retention periods will be documented before checkout opens. You can clear this website’s preferences through your browser settings.

Contact and requests

For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests relating to a purchase, use the seller contact information on your receipt. Requests are handled subject to applicable law and records we must retain. Seller contact details must be finalized before purchases open.

Changes

We may update this policy as Seenlio develops. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where required.
